Opposites Attract

the STS daily challenge today was /is hosted By Scrappy Cocoa and she wanted us to scrap opposites. It was so much fun to see how everyone interpreted the directions i chose my dog and her "nemesis" the cute kitties and swapped the placement of how I would have normally placed the photos, papers and elements. Kit I used was chocolate lucky charms by Inspired designs, cats by Americo and alpha by Gunhilde Storeide.

WOW huge weekend just gone celebrating Digi Scrap DAy

what a hugely busy and successful weekend in the digi scrapping world, fun was had no matter where in the world you were or who you hang out with. i am new to this whole digi scrap thing and i am sure like most people got my feet wet so to speak with Digi Free and other freebie search places... i have now found my "favorite" spots on the web and i guess you could say i am beginning to narrow my digi scraping style.

firstly a huge thank you to all the lovely and extremely talented ladies at Stuff to scrap you are now the first stop for me when i am looking for some scrappy goodness. many challenges and a Saturday with two speed scraps (sadly i was only able to participate in one as i was busy with the mac miniboy) and loads of challenges. i am attempting to participate in as many of the daily challenges as i can and got 3 LO's done for them last week. i am happy with my scrapping and find it very satisfying. Here are some of my efforts.

perfect day credits are a bit of a mish mash as follows: paper and tag from Under the Sea by Dreams Pieces; elements from Growing Pains Scrapped Beach Bums kit; word art from Sahlin Studio say it with metal vol 1,flower brushes by Judy Meibusch; mask by fanette design;
snuggle-a-saurus credits are Dream in Blue By Thaliris

I hope I did not leave anyone out... I am still a the stage where i tend to flit about in the collections I have to fit the image i have in my head of the finished LO.

and possibly the best part of the DSD weekend was all the SALES!!!!. I am sure I am just like any other girl when it comes to a good sale, i purchased a couple of kits that I really wanted and ones that are what i consider to be invesment pieces ( i plan to use them a lot). Maybe if i ahve time later i amy show off what i decided to buy...

my next challenge

i have made my next challenge one to pretty up my blog so when i figure that out we will all see together, hopefully this side of Christmas

A first posting

Well here I am, I created this account a while ago and have been didgi scrapping for a little over a month now. I have had every intention of posting on my blog but between work and baby and dog stuff i have not had much time... oh and did i mention my OBSESSION with speed scrapping and searching for cool stuff to wok on my scrapping projects with.

I believe that i have run into the gratest newbie mistake and that 1. freebies are cool but am i really going to use it all, and 2 if I spend all my available time looking for cool freebies how will i ever manage to find time to scrap?? So i have decided to cut my self off ( for a bit) and try and work on what i have going on.

so two resolutions i will only spend 5 minutes (ok maybe 15) cruising the freebies at forever free and digi free each day.

ok so this image is one I made in an effort of the Scrap What Challenge on Stuff to Scrap .

I made it after finding this really cute kit called Honey Nut Cheerios at Inspired Design. This lovely artist called Valerie is a rocking designer and has some seriously cute doodles and freebie kits, give the girl some props she is a nurse too a tough job. you can get the kit click on the image to go to Valeries blog... check her out.

She has loads of cute stuff and will be one to watch.

Ok i have to go now i have obedience trials for the dog now will post some pics maybe if i remember to take my camera.
